A Cut Above Bathrooms will happily organise a quote time and promptly email you a quote back to you.
Once accepted, we will again meet, this time in our showroom to pick tiles and bathroom products for your bathroom transformation.
The old tired bathroom is then stripped bare removing all tapware, vanities, tiles and wall linings if necessary.
A licenced plumber is then engaged to install mixers and move pipes if necessary. The photo below demonstrates dated wall taps that were updated to a modern slimline mixer unit.
Our team value the areas of your home that don't need renovations and covers surfaces with protective floor coverings
Electricians are also used at this point if required for instance to move the location of a power point or to install custom lighting.
The bathroom walls are then
re-sheeted with Villaboard and
waterproofed by a licenced
tradesperson with a polyurethane
The bathroom floor will then be screeded with sand & cement to create falls to the drains. Chicken wire is used when going over a timber floor. A coat of primer is then applied to help seal the surface to ensure adequate adhesion.
The tiling begins...
All the necessary preparation is complete at this stage and the bathroom will begin to be tiled. Starting on the floor, followed by the walls the bathroom will be tiled by a skillful tradesman using a quality rubber tile adhesive and grouted in a colour of your choice to compliment your tile selection.
By this stage your bathroom will be taking shape but its not till the vanities, toilets and fittings are installed that the clear picture is revealed.
To finish your bathroom transformation, our team places a bead of silicone around the floor joins, up the wall and around the vanity (as seen in the pic) to seal and neatly present the joins.
All rubbish and mess will be cleaned away daily and your home and new bathroom will be handed back to you sparkling and you will be glad you chose A Cut Above Bathroom Renovations.
